Where am I going? What will I give back? Daily Plans: Thursday, 23 March

Happy Thursday AVID Students!

-College Fair Presentations MUST be ready to share by the end of the day on Thursday.

1) Warm Up: Learning Log (12 min)
  1. Take 5 minutes to add summaries and questions to recent notes and assignments.
  2. Choose a learning log option and complete it in 5 minutes.
  3. Stand Up-Hand Up-Pair Up and tell a classmate how what you learned this week is connected to what you learned last week. 
2) Lesson Plan Part 1: College Fair Presentation Planning (50 min)

  1. Notes for Tomorrow:
    1. Dress in casual professional clothes and try to add something in your school's colors!
    2. Go to A lunch then come to my room at 11:59 to get your presentation materials.
    3. Bring all presentation materials to the gym. You may leave your back pack, etc in my room. Other things to help bring up: Pennants, tape, scissors
    4. Set up tables in the gym like they were for Family Night.
    5. Set up your table. 
    6. Get ready to present!
    7. After the college fair, break things down, return tables, etc. 3rd and 4th block will meet in my room to do a reflection. 1st block will go to Mr. Holeczy's room (Cheatham's room) to do the reflection. 
  2. Time to Finish:
    1. Take 3 minutes to review your feedback and To Do list that you wrote yesterday. Make sure your group has a game plan and everyone knows their part.
    2. Get to work on your revisions.
    3. Show me your finalized presentation and planning document. 
    4. Done early? Please create a "Welcome to the LEC College Fair" poster if needed OR see Lesson Plan Part 2.

  1. Review your SMART goal and assignments as listed in your planner.
  2. Choose a task to work on quietly until the end of the period.
