Where am I going? How will I get there? Daily Plans: Thursday, 2 March

1) Warm Up: Time for YOU (25 min)
  1. Choose what you work on from the list below:
    1. Review your SMART goal for the week and meet it.
    2. Finish your pennant.
    3. Wrap up any late AVID work.
    4. Check your grades in PowerSchool and complete any necessary late work or revisions.
    5. Work on homework.
    6. Read or color quietly.
  2. At the end of 25 minutes, tell your neighbor what you accomplished. 
2) Lesson Plan: College Field Trip Preview Part 2 (20 min)

    1. Wear walking shoes and bring a lightweight jacket. Rain isn't on the calendar, but you may want to bring a mini umbrella just in case. 
    2. Bring a notebook and pen/pencil. Please do not plan to take notes on your phone.
    3. Consider bringing a granola bar/snack. Lunch will be at 12:30ish. 
    4. We will probably NOT have time to stop in a student store, but if you want to you may bring money to spend on outrageously priced shirts, etc. in the event that we have time.
    5. Some of you will be eating lunch with teachers - get excited :). 
    6. Meet in the correct room tomorrow morning by 8:00am.

    1. Take out your notes from Monday and Wednesday. Add a squiggly line, today's date, and the topic: College Trip Preview Part 2.
    2. Again pretend that we are actually leaving you at your dorm on Friday at UNCG or NC A&T. We've decided to surprise you and leave you at one of our choosing. With this in mind, make sure you can answer the following questions for BOTH schools so you will be prepared when we leave you at your school (again, we aren't really abandoning you...). Use the table below for resources!

  1. Read the prompt for the TPEQEA paragraph. 
  2. Ask questions.
  3. Use the Admissions page at your first choice school to find a quote.
  4. Write your TPEQEA paragraph.
  5. Done with everything? Scavenger hunt, pennant, paragraph? Turn this in!
4) Closure/Exit Ticket: End SMART
  1. Open your planner.
  2. Update any upcoming due dates, homework, events, etc.
  3. Work on any work you need to until the end of class.
