1) Warm Up: Public Speaking Again (15 min)
  1. Set up a Cornell note sheet. Topic: Public Speaking
  2. One Minute Quick-write: What are your presentations like now? Are you loud? Quiet? Funny? Do you read from slides? Your notes? Do you memorize? Do you fidget? Do you give handouts to the audience?
  3. As you watch the videos, create a T-chart of what to do and what not to do.
  4. Set one goal for yourself using this template: I will prepare for my next public speaking opportunity by _____________________ so that I can __________________. (Ex: I will prepare for my next public speaking opportunity by writing notes and practicing them every day for a week so that I can avoid reading straight from my slides.)
2) Fifteen for YOU! Resolution Research

  1. Review your resolution.
    1. Sweatshop Resolution
    2. Israeli-Palestinian Health and Conflict Resolution
  2. Finish your research by filling in your document:

    What will you resolve?
    1. Find two articles from news sources based in your country that relate to your topic. If you need to, you may try news sources like NPR or BBC if you cannot find enough from a news source from your country. *Remember, you are representing your country as if you were from there! Using your country's media will help you do that!*
    2. Suggested search terms:
      1. Sweatshop: Country name: Worker rights; sweatshop; working conditions; child labor laws; health of sweatshop workers
