1) Warm Up: Parent Night Evaluation and Reflection (10 min)
2) Literacy Block: Letters to College Students (20 min)
- Work in a group of three.
- Choose one of the Appalachian State students to write a note to. They will reply this weekend and we will give you letters on Monday!
- Ideas:
- Ask questions about their majors
- LEC vs App State
- How they chose App State
- Best classes and profs at CCCC, ASU
- Draw pictures and comics! Ali loves dinosaurs and a few have goofy pets!
- Include a silly pun
- Encourage them because exams are FAST approaching!
- People:
- Ali: Psychology major (Recreational therapy focus), LEC alumni, freshman w/ advance standing
- Warren: Math Education major, LEC alumni, freshman w/ advance standing
- Isaac: Computer Science major, LEC alumni, freshman w/ advance standing
