1) Warm Up - Success Workshop (10 min)
  1. Revise your AVID and content area notes:
    1. Highlight key terms.
    2. Write HOT questions.
    3. Add summaries.
  2. Organize your binders.
2) Literacy Block: Reading Skills Self-Evaluation Practice (15 min)
  1. Open your Reading Skills Self-Evaluation.
  2. Refer back to the skill you said you wanted to work on.
  3. Identify what you can do to improve on that area. Stuck? Ask me!
  4. Work on your self-designed task for the remainder of 15 minutes. 
3) Lesson Plan: Parent Night Planning Day 3
  1. Continue working in your group from yesterday.
    1. Ms. Cunkelman: Scheduling and Logistics, Welcoming, Translator Team
    2. Ms. Nickel: Student Leaders, Public Relations, College Planning Pros
    3. Mrs. Testa: Babysitters, Decorations and Hospitality
  2. In your group choose a secretary to make a copy and share the document below. Read through your tasks.
    1. Babysitters
    2. Decoration and Hospitality Committee
    3. Welcoming Committee
    4. Translator Team
    5. College Planning Pros
    6. Public Relations and Advertising Committee
    7. Scheduling and Logistics Committee
    8. Student Lead Presenters (Make your own document for each room and link it to your room's title in the document here!)
  3. Work through your tasks listed in the document above.
  4. If you finish early, make sure you are revising and organizing your work for all classes!
5) Exit Ticket: Work with your committee to write the remaining tasks you have left to finish for Parent Night. Add a time estimate to each task.
