1) Warm Up: Creative Writing

1. Choose one of the following to respond to and write for FIVE minutes.
2. Stuck? Write "ice cream" until your brain gets unstuck!
3. Option 1: Write a letter starting with "Dear Absent Ms. Nickel," to tell me what I missed on Thursday and Friday!
4. Option 2: You know Lee Early College now! So, tell some deputies how to fit in!

2) Costa's Levels of Thinking and Questioning

1. Discuss: 
1. What structures and activities do we have in AVID that prompt you to ask questions? 
2. How can you make your questions helpful to you?
2. Watch the video and add question words to your Costa's house.
3. Create your own visual! (Mine is a chocolate chip cupcake with frosting :)
4. Add your house sheet and visual to your binder. 

3) Writing Successful TPEQEA Paragraphs

1. Open your Success TPEQEA paragraph. Reread your point.
2. Then, read the pages of the article on success in Early Colleges. As you read, highlight lines that support YOUR point.
3. Review the formatting of a quote and add it to your paragraph. 
4. Tomorrow we will make sure everything fits. 

4) Time for You!

1. Log in to your cougarmail account. 
2. Read all of your emails.
3. Respond if necessary.

5) Exit Ticket: Set a SMART goal and post it on the door on your way out.
