1) Warm Up: Process that! (1:27)
**What should I see at 1:22? What should I not see? Show me you've got this!**

1. Find your Process, Definition, Illustration sheet.
2. Add on 3 more terms.
3. Make sure you've done "Inference".

2) Literacy Block (1:45): Inference Making 101
**You will have today and next Thursday to finish this!**

1. Read through the presentation on making inferences.
2. Describe what an inference is.
3. List what you can infer and what you cannot.
4. Compare and contrast a fact from an inference.
5. Write what to keep in mind as you make inferences from readings and from graphs.
6. Complete the practice problems.

3) Lesson Plan (2:30): Where I'm From by George Ella Lyons

1. Your task:
1. Write your own "Where I'm From" poem by Friday.
1. Monday: Prewrite and Draft
2. Tuesday: Peer Edit and Revise
3. Today: Publish (rewrite) and Illustrate
4. Friday: Present in mini-open mic groups during Family Day!

1. If you did not peer revise on Tuesday, do the following:
1. Ask another student to read your poem while you read their's.
2. Highlight the two lines that tell you the most about the poet.
3. Ask one clarifying question.
4. Give the poet a plus and delta.
2. Write your poem on large construction paper.
3. Create a colorful border that tells the audience more about you!
4. When you finish: 

1. Find a partner.
2. Power pose.
3. Practice reading in a loud, proud, college student voice!

4) Success Workshop: Time Management (2:43)

1. Check your email. Respond!
2. List all of your upcoming assignments, quizzes, and tests. 
3. Predict how much time you'll need for each.
4. Number them in the order you'll do them in.
5. Write the day you'll do each.
