Essential Question: How can you structure your notes to succeed?

1) Warm Up: 5-4-3-2-1 
Reflect on the past week and list the following:

  • 5 facts you learned
  • 4 key terms
  • 3 questions that you answered
  • 2 people that helped you
  • 1 question you still have
2) Tutorial
  1. Take out your notes.
  2. Identify a question or topic you have struggled with OR would like to know more about.
  3. Fill out a TRF.
  4. Set up three column notes. (Point-of-Confusion, Notes, Steps to Solve)
  5. Break into Tutorial groups.
  6. Give 30 second speeches, take three column notes, use the inquiry process to guide each other toward understanding.
  7. Fill out your reflection.
3) Success Workshop: Set a SMART goal and work!
  1. Get your poster from yesterday finished.
  2. Organize your binder.
  3. Work on work that you examined during Tutorial.
4) Exit Ticket: What do you need from your teachers right now?
