  1. Go to Google Classroom and open the Choose your Own College Adventure document.
    1. Missed Monday? Go to Google Classroom and join AVID Spring 2017 Foster using the class code 4omtz6.
  2. Read through the purpose and grading information and the directions and timeline.
  3. Ask questions.
  4. Complete today's task using the resources below:
    1. College Life Scenarios - Radford University (Scroll to page 3.)
    2. Common Problems College Freshmen Face
    3. 25 Challenges for Students and Their Parents
    4. Roommate Conflict Scenarios (Scroll to page 3.)
    5. Health Topics in Mental Health
    6. Student Retention Scenarios (These are from a professor's point-of-view but may still be helpful!)
  5. **In the event that I have to say this: For every scenario, there must be *AT LEAST* one positive choice. Keep this between PG and PG-13. (Some PG-13 stuff is quite sketch - If you have to ask yourself if the scenario you are writing is appropriate, don't do it.) Avoid generalizations about groups of people and negative stereotypes, etc.**
2) Lesson Plan Part 1: Tutorials (40 min)
  1. Before Tutorials: Take 5 minutes to...
    1. Gather and revise related or other notes
    2. Organize your binder
    3. Work on homework
  2. During Tutorials:

    1. Move into Tutorial groups (4-5 people).
    2. Share your final concept rating (from your POC box) and determine your presentation orders.
    3. The presenter will give a 30 second speech ending with their POC.
    4. Group members will note questions asked and the presenter's work. One group member will take notes for the presenter.
    5. When the presenter thinks they understand the POC, they'll summarize their steps. Group members will ask any follow up questions.
    6. Repeat as time permits.
  4. After Tutorials: Reflection questions:
    1. What kind of Tutorial did you do today and why?
    2. Did you make the best use of your time today? Convince me in a point and example sentence.
    3. What was the most interesting question you heard/asked/were asked today?
    4. Answer in 3-4 sentences.
