        1. Take 1 minute to summarize the "Giving Sales Pitches" article. What is the inverted pyramid? Why do we need to anticipate questions from the audience? etc.
        2. Take 1 minute to summarize the "Speeches" article. What are some key parts of an effective speech? What are some grammar/style tips for writing an effective speech? etc.
        3. Take 2 minutes to discuss questions people may ask and what facts will hook your audience.
      2. Part 2:
        1. List 5 questions you anticipate students asking about your college. The space to do this is on the back of the first page of your planning doc, right under the poster template.
      3. Part 3:
        1. Answer these questions.
        2. Type (in the document HERE) a 30 second elevator speech that you will use to get students to stay at your table, ask questions, and not just fill in their scavenger hunt and run away. Consider:
          1. What is your hook?
          2. What facts will be interesting or shocking to the students?
          3. What do they need to leave your table knowing about your school?
          4. How will you use ethos, pathos, and logos?
          5. What tone should you be using considering our audience?
        3. I will print your 30 second speeches so you each have a copy. Be sure not to read directly from it!
