1) Part 1: Annotate an article and take Cornell notes

- Know your favorites and when it wouldn't make sense to use.
- Be able to identify main ideas.
3) Part 3: TPEQEA Paragraph
- Don't forget to go back and write your Topic.
- Cite your quote!
- Examples from Purdue OWL:
- The authors state, "Tighter gun control in the United States erodes Second Amendment rights" (Smith, Yang, and Moore 76).
- Ravitch argues that high schools are pressured to act as "social service centers, and they don't do that well" (qtd. in Weisman 259).
- Make sure your Analysis does more than summarize your paragraph.
4) Part 4: Plan out a project
- Review SMART goal setting.
- Know how to break down a project and create a timeline.
5) Logistics:
- Turn off your phones and turn them in to me before the exam.
- Be ready to turn in all parts of your computer!
