1) Warm Up: Career Research
- Set up Cornell notes for today.
- Go to CFNC.org > Plan > For A Career.
- Find where it says "Your Portfolio" on the lower right hand sidebar.
- Click "Career Planning Index Page" > "Career Plans".
- Locate "Saved Careers". Under that, click "Try the Career Finder".
- On the left sidebar find "Career Facts" > "Career Clusters" and click that.
- Under career clusters, check off pathways that sound interesting to you.
- All the way at the end, select "See Your Matching Careers".
- Note: How many careers match for you?
- **These will save in your profile so you can look at them more in depth later. You can remove ones you don't like then.**
2) Literacy Block: Spreadsheets, Data, and Graphs OH MY!
- Work with a partner.
- Partner One opens and copies the spreadsheet here. Partner Two just opens the spreadsheet.
- Go to the Data Analysis sheet at the bottom of the page.
- Follow the directions to create a chart.
- Partner Two should read, Partner One should add to the spreadsheet.
- Partner Two should make the chart.
- Before you Create:
- Take out your notes.
- *Star* information that you will use in your study tool.
- Create your Tool:
- Check the guidelines in the picture to the right.
- Gather materials you need.
- Create your study tool!
- This is due Thursday. You will have about 10 minutes in class tomorrow.
4) Success Workshop: Organize and Communicate!
- Check and respond to emails.
- Organize your binder!
