1) Warm Up: Math Puzzlers (5 min)

  1. Copy down the math puzzle.
  2. Solve the problem showing your work.
  3. Compare and contrast your method to solve the problem with a neighbor.

2) Literacy Block: The Whole Picture - Representation 1 (15 min)

  1. Read the Instructions.
  2. Complete the representations with highlighting, etc!

3) What can games teach us about how we learn? (35 min)
  1. Find or make your own puzzle. Resources:
    1. Free Online Games 
    2. Think Fun 
    3. Cool Math 4 Kids
    4. Mindbend Puzzles - Plymouth
    5. Fun and Games
    6. Discovery Education Brain Boosters
  2. Play the game. As you play, work on your question guide. 
  3. Use your "Costa's Questions Resources" (TOC #11).
4) Tutorial Process Posters (20 min)

  1. Create a poster showing the Tutorial Process.
  2. Refer to your Tutorial Steps cheat sheet (TOC #8).

5) Time for You: Google Calendar

  1. Put upcoming due dates in your Google Calendar.
  2. Show me that you've done this.
  3. Check and respond to emails.
  4. Make sure your binder is organized!
  5. Work on your TRF.
