Big Idea: Systems
Essential Question: How can my review systems help me succeed?
Objectives: I can...
...use my study calendar and notes.
...write questions similar to my exam questions.
...create study tools.
**********************************
1) Warm Up: Your Soundtrack (12 min)

  1. Option 1: Create your Soundtrack
    1. Open up your Positivity File.
    2. List the songs that would be in your soundtrack if your life was a movie.
    3. Add a sentence telling why you chose each song.
  2. Option 2: Create CD Cover Art.
    1. Create a CD cover.
    2. Then, on the back, add an acknowledgements section. Who would you thank for getting you to where you are today?

2) Success Workshop: Ten for You

  1. Work on late work or review for your toughest class.
  2. Let me know if you need study tips!

3) Literacy Block/Review Time: Using Your Cornell Notes
  1. Look at your study calendar. What did you plan to study today?
  2. Take out your materials from that class.
  3. Add as many summaries as you can for twelve minutes.
  4. For the second set of twelve minutes, add as many HOT questions as you can. Make these questions like your exam questions (so multiple choice or essay prompts).
  5. Quiz your classmates in content area groups using your notes!
4) Success Workshop: Create a Study Tool

  1. On the back of your exam survival packet (with the calendar in it), describe the study tool you will make. Relate it to one learning style. Have me sign off on it.
  2. Start making your study tool.

5) Exit Ticket: SMART Start and Treat Yo Self

  1. In your phone or via email set a SMART goal for review tonight.
  2. Then, decide how you will reward yourself today.
