1) Warm Up: "Guest" Speaker Questions (5 min)

On Tuesday, April 12th we will be hosting a college fair for LCS middle and elementary school students. You will work in trios as college representatives for a randomly assigned college. Today, you will get to talk (via Google Hangout) to Ms. Nicole Kuhns, our regional Admissions Counselor from Appalachian State University. You may ask her a few questions about ASU, but the focus of this conversation is to find out what it is like to be a college representative. What is your job? What do you need to know? This will help you put on the best college fair possible!

1. On your own: List questions you want to ask Ms. Kuhns.
2. With your table: Highlight similar questions and choose who will ask each one.

2) "Guest" Speaker: Ms. Nicole Kuhns (1:30-1:50)

1. Before the Google Hangout: Read Ms. Kuhns' greeting message here.
2. As we participate in the Google Hangout, note the following:
1. What is the role of a college representative?
2. What facts do you need to know about the college you are representing?
3. What questions can you expect to be asked?
4. Anything else of interest to you!
3. After the Google Hangout, compare notes with a classmate and add on at least 2 details!

3) SMART Study Hall (1:50-2:10)

1. Set a SMART goal and work!
2. If you have missing work now is the time to get it done.

4) Family Day Time (2:15-2:45)

1. Ms. Cunkelman's Room: Missing Work
