How do I benefit from setting and meeting my own goals? Friday, 28 April

Homework: 
-Next Tuesday: ACA journal is due
*Mark your calendars for After School De-Stress Activities! Both are in my room from 3-4pm :).
  1. Monday, 5/1: Food Art! Bring candy, cut fruit or veggies to share to turn into edible art!
  2. Monday, 5/8: Color to Calm
-4th Block (and everyone else too...): Finish your reflection and turn in your Personal Choice Project Planning doc BEFORE SUNDAY!!!! Bullet lists are okay.
  1. Go to "Phase 3: The Presentation" in your Personal Choice Project Planning document. In "Part 2: Document what you Present", respond to the following:
    1. What you are most proud of from your presentation?
    2. What you would change or do differently in your presentation?
    3. What was the best piece of feedback you got?
    4. During 10 day review, you'll have up to 1.5 hours to keep working on your project IF you want it. What will you work on in that time? This can be a new personal project. If you don't want that time, tell me what you will study or revise instead.

1) Warm Up: Twenty Five for YOU! (25 min)
  1. Write your name, your Personal Choice Project topic, and what you are presenting on your sticky note.
  2. Recall your SMART goal from this week. 
  3. Choose what to work on for 25 minutes. 
    1. Reach your SMART goal.
    2. Work on your Personal Choice Project or presentation.
    3. Do homework.
    4. Read or write quietly.
  4. Get to work!
2) Personal Choice Project Presentations (45 min)

  1. See the presentation groups on the board.
  2. Move to your table.
  3. Share your presentations.
  4. As each classmate presents, write the following on a sticky note:
    1. Image result for giving feedback
    2. Presenter's Name
    3. The best/most interesting/etc. thing presented
    4. One question or delta
  5. After table presentations, visit other presentations interesting to you!
  6. Go to "Phase 3: The Presentation" in your Personal Choice Project Planning document. In "Part 2: Document what you Present", respond to the following:
    1. What you are most proud of from your presentation?
    2. What you would change or do differently in your presentation?
    3. What was the best piece of feedback you got?

  7. Submit your Personal Choice Project document.

LCS Summer College Road Trip

The AVID district program is hosting its second Summer College Road Trip! This is a GREAT way to visit colleges for ONLY the cost of lunch! Below you can see the dates and locations. You'll tour the school, eat in the dining hall (or bring a bag lunch and make this free!), see a dorm, and visit students' favorite places around campus!

How to sign up:
1) We'll share the application with you once we have it. More trips will be added after we leave for the summer, SO PLEASE check the Lee County Schools' homepage here for the updates. Fill in the application! This is first come, first serve!
2) Get a permission slip from by Ms. Delmaine's door (these will be out sometime during 10 day review - so keep checking). Complete the form with your parents/guardians and return it to Ms. Delmaine!
3) On the day of the trip, meet at Lee Senior around 6am with about $10 for lunch.

June 20: High Point University
July 25: ECU
