1) Warm Up: Creative Writing (10 min)


  1. Continue a story you started.
  2. Image result for picture prompts
    Who did this to the pencil and why?
  3. Write or draw (realistically or cartoonishly or sticky figurely with details) a self-portait.
  4. Respond to one the prompts pictured above or below.

2) Time for You! (40-50 min)
  1. Turn in your college fair planning packet. Finish the reflection form below if you haven't. 
  2. Take out and update your planner. Add a SMART goal for the week.
  3. Read the list of assignments to complete and set three goals for this period. Get to work!
    1. Math 1: Finish benchmark revisions. Show all work! This is due TUESDAY.
    2. English 1 (Sawyer): Complete the following:
      1. Image result for smart goals
      2. Update Symbolism charts (they will need to get these from my classroom and work in groups - depending on who all is in their AVID class)
      3. Write a TPEQEA for their research paper focused on one of these symbols from the book after they review these symbolism charts
      4. Create accounts on goformative.com (linked on Sawyer's blog with the class code). 
      5. There are two questions assigned to them on this link they should answer. If they have questions, they can come ask. 
    3. English 1 (Delmaine): 
      1. Don't freak out about the flow chart.
      2. Make sure you have 5 research questions. Each question needs a source and notes. This is due TODAY.
      3. See post here.
    4. World History (Stern): Work on your Machiavelli readings and double entry journal. 

3) Family Time: 
  1. Play Spot It!, Pandemic, or Bananagrams.
  2. Read or color quietly.
  3. Work on homework. 
  4. Write your TRF.
