1) Warm Up: Creative Writing! Draw and turn in OR email me your response: (10 minutes)
2) Literacy Stratey: Start the Quarter off Fresh!
Revise and Summarize (20 minutes)
- Revise your notes by highlighting key terms, writing HOT questions, and summarizing your notes.
- Organize your binder.
3) Time to Work: Socratic Seminar (Switch circles and finish on Tuesday)
- On your note sheet, write three questions you would like to discuss relating to power. (10 min)
- One of these should make a connection between activities or readings we have done in this unit.
- One of these should make a connection to your life or future.
- One of these should make a broader, global connection.
- Then, we'll review the Socratic seminar sheet and begin the seminar. Remember to:
- Step up, Step back
- Assume Positive Intent
- Connect to what we've done in class
- Stick to the point!
4) Exit Ticket: SMART Start!
- Write a SMART goal for this week.
- Write a SMART goal for this semester.
- Write a SMART goal for staying positive.
